Compass

Say there’s nothing out there,
that it’s all inside of here,
a here searching for there.
Say that feeling is a horse without a cart,
thought, a cart without a horse
that thinks it has a horse.
Say your eye tells the lie
that you walk the world upright
in the upside down universe
you were given at Sunday school,
with the etiquette for laughter,
the manual for crying,
commandments for
living, dying,
for loving.
